KAMAZ and NEFAZ NGVs for Stavropol Krai

Deputy Prime Minister of Stavropol Krai Georgiy Efremov and General Director of LLC “RariTEK” Raphael Batyrshin met in Stavropol.

Their negotiations were organized with the assistance of Oleg Morozov, First Deputy Chairman of the RF State Duma. They discussed the issues of purchasing of KAMAZ’s CNG vehicles by Stavropol Krai. It should be recalled that Chelny’s enterprise RariTEK is a partner of KAMAZ for production of CNG equipment for KAMAZ trucks and NEFAZ passenger buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), and also service of this equipment.

Governor of Stavropol Krai Valery Gayevskiy appointed his vice-premier Georgiy Efremov a supervisor of the regional program "The use of CNG as motor fuel in 2011-2013". This program was designed to execute Federal Law No. 261-FZ of November 23, 2009. As a result of these measures implemented during the next three years, 6,000 vehicles will start using CNG as automobile fuel. Under this program, the administration of Stavropol Krai plans not only to gradually transfer vehicles to the use of CNG, but also to construct and put into operation new automobile CNG filling stations (natural gas filling stations) and other points transferring vehicles to the use of CNG.

It should be noted that approving the regional program with a predominant focus on KAMAZ machinery, it was taken into account that KAMAZ vehicles operated very well in the neighboring region – Krasnodar Krai, and substantial economic benefits were derived from the operation of 32 CNG NEFAZ-5299-30-31 buses at Kuban. KAMAZ trucks are also used to construct Olympic facilities in Sochi. KAMAZ serial trucks, including NGVs, showed their indisputable advantage there – their high economic, environmental and technological efficiency. This fact was highly appreciated by the authorities of Stavropol Krai.
