The audit team of the certification authority URS (UK) performed a special (unscheduled) audit of the quality management system (QMS) at two production sites of OAO Nizhnekamskshina (serial mass tire production plant) and OOO Nizhnekamsk Truck Tires (both are part of Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company). Its purpose was to determine the effect of changes that had occurred as a result of a January 1, 2011 reorganization of Nizhnekamskshina for the integrity of the QMS and its suitability.
The reorganization has changed not only the structure of managerial units, but also the existing QMS: part of the activities was transferred for implementation by the petrochemical complex enterprises: the Management Company, "Kama" Research and Technology Center, "KAMA" Trading House and "Tatneft-Neftekhimsnab".During the audit much attention was paid both to how the plants operate and the activities transferred to outsourcing.Based on the results of the audit a positive decision was made to grant a certificate with an extended area of "Design and manufacturing of tires."
