On 15th of June Alisa Gallyamova tournament for young chess-players started in Kazan. 15th anniversary tournament is held in the central specialized youth chess school of Olimpic reserve in the name of R. Hezhmetdinov.
Alisa Gallyamova, an International Grand Master, a multiple champion of Russia, two-time vice-champion of the world, the winner of the World Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, the owner of the „Sportsman of the year 2010”, recalled that the first 10 years this tournament was held in Aktanyshe but the last 5 years competition take place in Kazan.
The tournament is attended by about 150 boys and girls from different regions of Russia. The competition involves teams from youth educational institutes, clubs and sport schools. Each team consists of five poeple - 4 boys and 1 girl not upward 1994 year of birth. The essential condition is that one teammate must be no older than 12 and one - no older than 10 years old.
Total prize fund amounts 162 thousand rubles. Winners names will be announced at the closing ceremony of the tournament on 21st of June.
