Students Were Awarded Scholarships of OAO TATNEFT and Certificates

A solemn presentation of awarding certificates of the right to receive special TATNEFT's scholarships to the best students of Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute (AGNI) took place in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) on June 22. Scholarships were established by the Company in 2001 and a list of 30 TATNEFT's scholarship holders is pre-approved at the meeting of the AGNI Academic Council. In addition, each of the applicants must not only excel in the studies, but also be engaged in research and lead an active social life. Some of the fellows are winners and laureates of international and All-Russia contests, grant winners of the leading universities in the country. For AGNI students scholarships of TATNEFT are a good incentive to acquire new knowledge and a solid steppingstone for the conquest of professional peaks in the future.


Paying great attention to training professional personnel OAO TATNEFT is doing much to improve the level of teaching at Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute. Today AGNI is improving practical orientation of the professionals training by introducing advanced achievements of science, engineering, technology and advanced experience in the field of crude oil production, refining, automation and information technologies into the learning process.

Most of the institute's graduates join the ranks of employees of TATNEFT Group of Companies. Senior staff of the Company participates in the State Certifying Commission for defending diploma graduation projects. Currently AGNI is the only high school in the Republic that applies online technology for diploma defense.

On the same day at the institute under a special program of OAO TATNEFT supporing the orphan children certificates were awarded for staying at the health improvement camp "Vityazevo" (Anapa) to the students, who had remained without parental support and care at an early age. 165 orphan students were able to improve their health at the resorts of the Black Sea coast during the period from 2002 to 2010.
